Direct Democracy proposal for Agriculture

Review of farming practices in context of BSE

The People's Administration believes that the root-cause of BSE and other related conditions was man-made. We do not believe that it was part of a conspiracy to cripple UK farming in-line with secret cross-European agreements [as many believe] but, we do wish to investigate if these conditions could have been caused by feeding dead animals to their vegetarian relatives.

Intensive farming practices prioritise quantity over quality so as to focus on maximisation and so we believe that the feeding of Offal to cattle could have been the only cause of these conditions.

The People's Administration's view is simply that if we contaminate our food supply at any stage, then we should expect at some point to suffer the consequences. We believe that BSE is a manifestation of what happens when an entire industry and its government ignore this logic.

Should the People's Administration install direct democracy, we propose to encourage and support scientific research and testing so as to ascertain an answer to this question.

Voting for direct democracy outside a general election

Direct Democracy - Audio

It is up to us, the people [not the politicians] to use the power that we have always had, to choose to implement direct democracy as soon as possible.

This is not a protest campaign.

In accordance with Magna Carta Article 61 and with UN UDHR Article 21 and with all of the democratic principals up-held by the UN [which the UK has signed-up to], the people already have the lawful right to reform to direct democracy - even outside a general election.
