Utility Smart meters to be used for surveillance and ad sales
Sold to us on the aspects of environmental-friendliness and reduced bills, the new utility supply Smart meters [paid for by the consumer], will be recording and sharing data about every aspect of our energy usage.
As in the US, the data collected is so detailed [every device in your home already transmits a Unique Electric Load Signature] that utility companies will know what we are doing and when we are doing it - when in the 'privacy' of own homes. They will even know when we are in or out and, they will be studying the patterns within this data in an attempt to get to know as much as they can about our daily lives - just as Google, Facebook and the security services currently do.
Security services, the government and private advertising companies will all have access to this information - without your permission and without your knowledge and, they will also be distributing the data to an unlimited number of 3rd parties who will have no legal obligations to us or to the UK government.

Further to this, the meters have been found to emit approx. 100 times the amount of radiation of a mobile phone, meaning that these meters are a serious threat to our health, as well as to our security.
Even though UK consumers are not compelled by law to allow the installation of a digital Smart meter, in the US, those who refuse access to Smart meter installers are already facing penalties in the form of losing their supply.
It is obvious that with regards to both cyber security and health, this is a massive threat to every UK citizen and as usual with threats of this nature, they are not regarded by our so-called 'representatives' in Parliament who have allowed for this to happen and, without even any public consultation.

If you want to use existing laws to stand up for your privacy and your health, we suggest that you copy and paste the legal notice below into a letter and send it [recorded] to your utility company. If you would instead prefer to send a document by email to all UK suppliers in one go automatically with a guarantee that your email was recieved, you may like to use: stopsmartmeters.org.uk
As your organisation is a private concern and not a government body or agency, I refuse permission for the installation of any surveillance-related equipment in my home, including the installation of a digital Smart meter.
My statutory rights demand that you protect me from fraud, poor quality, misrepresentation or economic loss and, any attempt to deny me my statutory rights is illegal and so the forced installation of a surveillance-equipped digital Smart meter that is of risk to my health as well as to my personal security, would be a clear breach of my statutory rights and therefore, illegal.
Furthermore, UK law does not compel me to allow your organisation to install a surveillance-equipped digital Smart meter in my home and so any attempt to gain access to my property with a view to installing a surveillance-equipped digital Smart meter will be regarded as trespass and will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws.
Any attempt to cease delivery of your service to my home after the date of this letter while my account with you is in good standing, will be regarded as intimidation and harassment and will also be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws.
Should you choose to modify your product in such a way so as to remove or amend the surveillance aspects, I will then reconsider any request by you to install a digital Smart meter in my home. However, upon my reconsideration, I will expect to be furnished with:
a) A guarantee of product safety that demonstrates beyond all reasonable doubt that radiation emissions are within current UK government-accepted safety levels.
b) An exhaustive list detailing which other 3rd parties your organisation will share data collected from my digital Smart meter with.
c) A guarantee that all data that you share with any 3rd parties will not be personally identifiable.
d) Either a guarantee that data collected from the digital Smart meter is 100% secure from theft and/or unauthorised access or, an assurance that should I or any 3rd party while in my home, suffer any loss [to health, finances or other] that arises from activity [criminal or other] committed without my permission by any 3rd party using any aspect of the digital Smart meter, that your organisation will make full and meaningful compensation without obstruction.

Voting for direct democracy outside a general election
It is up to us, the people [not the politicians] to use the power that we have always had, to choose to implement direct democracy as soon as possible.
This is not a protest campaign.
In accordance with Magna Carta Article 61 and with UN UDHR Article 21 and with all democratic principals up-held by the UN [which the UK is signed-up to], the People's Administration's Direct Democracy Twitter blog is a UN-sanctioned and legally recognised voting format for UK reform to direct democracy - even outside a general election.
Vote legitimately for a peaceful and structured UK reform to direct democracy now simply by following the People's Administration's Direct Democracy Twitter blog and when numbers reach a point of critical mass, we'll do the rest.
The People's Administration's constitution for reform to direct democracy and our voting protocols for implementing direct democracy have both been accepted by the UK Electoral Commission and the UN as legitimate. In a general election, the People's Administration DOES NOT have to field candidates to secure your vote on the ballot paper. Outside a general election, you can vote for a legitimate reform to direct democracy now by following @self_rule
